This policy describes how the Facebook application The Trade (the “App”) handles data. The App exists for a single purpose: to publish educational market-commentary posts to a Facebook Page owned and operated by us.
The App authenticates as a Meta system user belonging to our own Business Portfolio and publishes posts to our own Facebook Page. It is operated solely by us. It has no sign-in for members of the public, no user accounts, and no consumer-facing interface of any kind.
The App collects no personal data from any person. Specifically:
We hold one credential: an access token issued by Meta that permits the App to post to our own Page. It is stored encrypted, is never shared with any third party, and is used for no purpose other than publishing to that Page. Revoking it in Meta Business Settings immediately ends the App’s access.
pages_manage_posts — to publish posts to our own Page.pages_read_engagement — required by Meta alongside the above in
order to publish; we use it for no other purpose.pages_show_list — to identify which Page the token may post to.We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties, because the App holds no personal data to share. Post content is transmitted to Meta in order to be published, which is the App’s entire function.
As the App collects no personal data, there is no personal data to retain or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and wish it removed, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. Published posts can be deleted directly from the Page at any time.
Posts published by the App are educational and informational market commentary. They are not financial advice and are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Options trading involves substantial risk of loss.
We may update this policy. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
